Bartok, I generally agree with you, but not on this one. Bid where you want to go. Let the award process determine if you have the seniority to hold it. If I bid and get my 16th choice, great, that's what I can hold. At least I tried for the first 15. If, however, I just bid that 16th choice as number one and COULD have held something better, now I'm just going to be ****ed but have no one to blame but myself. Simply put, you don't know what you can hold until you bid for it.

This is why it's called a STANDING BID. You leave it in there and see what you can hold in each award. We've had plenty of problems with guys ****ing and moaning because someone junior to them got something they wanted, but they didn't bid for it. Nothing to do then.
