What this means is that these pilots all have the RJ Captain positions first, and then Q and Saabs. So you are INACCURATE when you say the majority are "just fine" in current position. Obviously they are not, which is why the award # category matters. And anytime a Colgan pilot is awarded a prop Captain position and the "to # number" shows greater than 10, it means these pilots have all the RJ Captain positions as #1-#9. Nice try, but facts speak for themselves.
Hey thats a good point ShyGuy. What you are saying makes sense but the numbers dont add up. There were 6 Tprop bases available on the bid form: IAH-Q IAH-Saab IAD CRW BOS EWR

So lets say if the "TO #" was greater than 6 for someone who was awarded a T prop captain slot, that person MUST have had jet slots higher and then you could say that person wasnt "just fine" on the prop.

BASE / # of colgan pilots awarded prop CA / # of colgan pilots with > 6 on the "To #"

IAH Saab / 34 / 10
IAH Q / 32 / 2
IAD / 19 / 7
EWR / 26 / 3
CRW / 4 / 2

So you see that of the 115 colgan pilots awarded Prop captain slots(many of which were already captains just moving bases) only 24 MUST have had jets in their preferenece bid above props. That is just under 21 percent. Now some of the other 79% may very well have had a jet higher than the prop on their preference but we cannot tell that because they were awarded a slot at 6 or less. But just for giggles I counted how many colgan pilots who were awarded or displaced to a prop captain slot had that as their number 1 choice(or in the case of the displaced pilots their number 2 choice). 61 out of 115. So we know for SURE that 53% of those pilots were, in fact, "JUST FINE" with the turbo props. That number is probably higher but we cannot know how many of those who were awarded their 2-6th choices just got a different tprop or base. You started off with a good idea but the facts really do speak for themselves and they are saying something quite different than you are.
