To further the responses already given.
Regarding UAL recall, you have the right to bypass unlimited times for a UAL recall for up to 10 years from furlough date. Of course, what is going on currently is not a recall so has no bearing on this. BTW, all should know, the current UAL provisions expire upon new contract unless specifically included in the JCBA whenever that comes. Not saying anything other than they could go away unless negotiated to extend into the new contract. Devil's always in the details guys.
You have the right to decline a "new hire" position at CAL twice. After the first decline, CAL side will not contact you until you provide written intent to re-enter the process. There is a 30 day period after notification before you will be put back in the pool of potential "new hires." If you then decline after a second offer, you will not be eligible to re-enter the process for the TPA job opportunities over at CAL.
