Yes, 10 year deferral of recall could be negotiated away in a new contract but I don't see that as likely.
I'm not sure if you can even retire while on furlough; I thought that wasn't permitted.
I assume that you've also looked at all of the prerequisites for retirement - age 50 and x years of active service? I looked for the number of years' service required but didn't immediately find it on either Skynet or in C2003.
Are you able to get Zed fares as a furloughee? If so, could you briefly outline the process? Thanks in advance.
