Has anyone heard if we are going to bring any of the -8's that are in storage back out to the line? I know we don't have many 727's, but that is still a loss of lift that, by my understanding of press releases, etc., that we need. Does anyone know the status of those frames? Are they still flyable after "de-pickle-ing"?
I wonder if they would pull the 8s off Hot Standby and have the Airbuses pickup those lines or vice versa for the short term? DC-8 can carry 3 727 loads, crew duty would be the limit.
