The 300 does have "Mach Hold" which is a sort of "poor man's autothrust." We have had great luck with our 300s to the point that the Bombardier support hasn't been an issue.

Also, the lack of IRS and a second pack isn't a huge issue if you are staying domestic most of the time, IMO.
