I too dont think that he would "punish" an entire group just because he does not like the merger committee. As you said, he is a professional arbitrator and I am sure worse have stood in front of him.

Still, it comes down to making your argument in front of the judge and you better sell it if you want him to buy it. It is clear that Bloch did not "buy" what the Pinnacle committee was selling. The "staple job" probably wasn't the best approach to take and because that strategy failed it prevented Bloch from hearing another angle from the PCL side.


I honestly do not see how Bloch could have not gone with DOH if PCL would have went with the MSA proposal for DOH, 2200 pilots vs 450 pilots. Again, it seems that the PCL strategy was flawed with wanting to battle against MSA instead of working together
