I may be alone on this but I sit senior reserve and I am not interested in a seniority based reserve system. Maybe something with YS pick ups but what's wrong with reserve is the pencil on paper method of determining trips all of which is hidden from us before, during and after.
It may be an Icrew thing as that system is horrifically dated.
But a RAW score system is fair and predictable imo.
I agree with you regarding the lack of "good" information for reserves. You can look at the reserves available and it might tell you there are zero available for a day and then look at the availability for the day and there are 14 people listed, some short and some long call. Now, I understand that even though someone may not be available, they are still on the availability list, but come on, how hard is it to have some actual good info for the pilots to view. Either you are available or you are not and if you are not, then they shouldn't show up on the availability list. Lack of I.T. and I am hopeful that our folks will fix it, problem is that is a low priority.
