We've wasted far more than a billion and change every year per year for a very long time on mega management blunders, hedging high and selling low, building a new oversized terminal in BOS so the competition could walk into our old one and dominate the market, billions and billions on blundered long term RJ contracts, exponentially increasing management bonuses in the face of some of the worst job performance the industry has ever seen and many, many others. Not to mention, how much in total did the little trip through Bankruptcy cost?
If we had the countless billions back our management teams have wasted on History Channel-esque blunders we'd be the most powerful airline on the planet.
Besides, what you worry we may not be able to afford is already being afforded by our primary low cost domestic competition in small 737's.
We can easily afford it...if we have the management talent to back it up. New flight bag sticker?..."It's The Management, Stupid!"
I know it's been said before. But this seems like a good time to say it again:
Gloopy for MEC Chairman!!!
