IMO CAL will be hiring pilots continuously for several years. Age 65, rest rules, 787 ramping up, and at some point a joint contract that will absolutely not have CAL work rules in their entirety. Any change to a CAL work rule towards a UAL work rule or better, will require more pilots on the property.
