If you've got access to a sim, then that. Just hop in a sim and fly some basic stuff. I practiced by hopping in my flight school's sim and doing approaches at full power for a little extra speed.
The sim was EXTREMELY easy. Everyone was up in arms about how pitch sensititve it was, but it's a SIM! They are
all pitch sensitive.
The profiles on the interview gouges are dead on. There are zero tricks in the sim. Know how to use an HSI, know how to hold, and know how to fly an approach. All things I would hope any instrument pilot would be able to pull off, hehe.
