It seems like we are always one step behind Delta when it comes to furlough rights. The first time around, we had to come back or quit, before they hired off the street. Delta guys/gals could bypass up to 10 years.

The second time we got the 10 year deal, but as I understand it, if we decide to come back lets say at year 8 or 9 and there are no classes, we would lose our rights to come back after 10 years. What I heard from Delta guys is that they just have to decide to come back before the 10 year mark. This last provision I think was negotiated during the merger.

And I'm pretty sure they get pay longevity too.

I could be wrong in my facts, but it sure would be nice to get the same opportunity for those of us that would like to stay away as long as possible.
