No response from guard unit?
Quick question: Will guard units call/mail/email some sort of "Thanks, but no thanks" if you aren't selected to interview?
I applied for a pilot slot with a unit whose application window supposedly closed on 30SEP and I've not heard even a whisper from the unit yet. My pilot contact within the unit (who is not at all involved with hiring/interviewing of UPT candidates, so he may be mistaken) told me awhile back that he was thinking he heard interviews would be in OCT. Well, that has come and gone. I think I can guess what the news will be for me if that info is correct, but I'm just curious if it is unusual to not hear anything at all. And I do have confirmation that they received my application package.
Would it be poor etiquette to contact the unit?
Thanks.
