Second, most of the 100K+ captains I know (other than the guys with less than ten years to go until retirement) have no desire to simply retire on a 100 seat jet. Most I know (myself included) are taking the huge paycut (like 70k) to move on to a mainline, be it to AA via the flow (that would be me, one of the numbered pilots), or to any other airline via the usual off the street hiring process.
It looks like Eagle has hired a whole new group of pilots that see no point in Eagle being a career carrier. It seems the quick upgrade to go to the majors is more important to them and thus, expect to be sold out by most of them come TA vote time so they can get theirs.

You've got two choices with them........go to AA when your number comes up or stay and fly for peanuts. Either way it's obvious......you'll be expected to get out of their way.

It's truly sad what's happened to Eagle in just a few short months.
