Congrats and welcome to the club! Few pieces of advice, never stop paying attention to your students, the moment you do is when things will happen. Treat the students not as an additonal 1.0 but as a person who has issues and try to help them if they want it. i had a turkish student who english was really horrible. i would on my own time give him english lessons because i realized that its a barrier to his growth and learning as a pilot, especially out on solo cross countries. youre job now is to get some who cant tell a rivet from a screw to the point where they will not kill themselves or anyone else. short of helping them out to pay for it; do what you can to get them through the training. ive given plenty of rides to students who had problems with their cars. youll do well and enjoy it.
