FAPA had a good relationship with Bryan, the issues we brought up were addressed in a timely manner and usually to our satisfaction. That may be just because we were willing to work with him. We even get along with Wayne, if you can imagine that.....
Bryan selected extremely high quality individuals as the foundation of our Management team. They are people Bryan respects, people that respect Bryan and people that the pilots and other employee groups respect.
Our new VP of Flt Ops was a brilliant choice and speaks volumes in how Bryan expects his Management team to interact with the employees of Frontier. Our new Director of HR and Labor relations has a long history at Frontier in dealing fairly and openly with the Unions and employees that are not represented, whether we agree on a given issue or not.
They are both people that the employees will, again, work with and they will work with us. There are inevitably going to be matters we disagree on, but both sides realize that we are (and have been) in a long-term relationship and all of our lives depend on resolving the issues in a way that allows the Company to succeed.
Things are definitely looking up at Frontier, morale is up, confidence in Bryan and his Management team is up and the employees are, generally, the happiest we've been in years.
We will have challenges going forward (many of which are being caused by our "Representation" group - the IBT) but Frontier has successfully faced many challenges in the past 17 years, 4 months and 10 days.
How's that compare to the "Native" RAH, FFD, IBT represented group?
You guys can keep fighting with Management and trying to "make them wonder what the IBT will do to them today" [paraphrased].
The last thing we want for OUR Management team to worry about is the basic relationship and level of cooperation they are going to receive from us, their employees. That frees up their time to be proactive in developing new ideas to make the Company a success and ways to maintain and improve the Employee/Management relationship.
Yep, we like our way a lot more than the IBT way.
