Yes, single employees have spouse or partner benefits extended to the parent.

I had to talk to the ZRH station manager because the gate agents there kept making my parents S2 going to ATL (three times in 2 years)

I didn't want to get the letter again that threatens me with a $300 fine and suspend my flight benefits for six months because my parents flew S2 instead of S3B transoceanic...
