i doubt it. The company is doing this for their benefit, not the new hire's. Think about it. It costs the company thousands of dollars to train each pilot. If a new hire washes out, that's money down the drain. It's in the company's best interest to pay for a little extra pre-training to help ensure the pilot makes it through training.
