My point was and is United like most of the majors favored ex mil guys. When I got hired in 2000 most in the class were. Very few civil aviation guys, some had both. 1 came from B727 AA 1 B767 TWA 1 Fed Ex(must be kicking themselves) 1 B727 guy. Only 1 commuter guy. 1 Net Jet. 19 white males 1 white female was the norm.

Well that is not going to happen anymore. I expect there are more active UAL guys trying to get hired at FedEx these days rather than the other way around.

There are just not the numbers of military pilots around anymore and given the choice UAL seems to want to hire them first. Mil pilots choice I strongly doubt it will be UAL?
