I was hired there, but left in GS. Should have stayed. Came back to the US for what I thought was a better gig and got furloughed 5 mos. later.

It's a different world in China. The city of Xiamen is pretty nice and there is a "western district." Housing most expensive in that part of town, but the housing allowance is adequate. Cabs are cheap, cheap. I've heard from a friend that is still there that expats getting their kids in school is difficult.

They've been flying their a$$es off. There are worse gigs.
