The piaggio compass is notoriously wrong. I make sure to leave it out of my scan as much as possible. If the pitot heat, windshield heat, avionics, or forward wing heat is on, each system will add about 20 degrees of error. This does not dismiss any other decisions made, but the only thing I trust in that plane is the inclinometer.
