Even if there's furloughs its not like they're going to the street. They'll go straight to XJT at current pay. They'll probably be able to hold a line on the XJT side quicker anyway. Only drop off I see is someone who lives in ATL will have to commute and the lack of per diem for 3 months during training
Or a guy like me who is about 140 or so from the bottom. If they do furlough I'm probably safe, bur it will be back on reserve again and going backwords on the seniority list after 4 years and have Already been furloughed once. If I transfer to XJT, reserve and bottom of the list there too. So either way I get ****ed. If this happens, my butthole will be the perverbial ASA slutt bc ive gotten ****ed some many times and so hard by them since I've been here. All ive gotten since ive been here is a good old ass ****ing. Its time for me to leave, doing my best to find a new job. If they don't furlough, great. At least I won't be on reserve looking for a new job.
