I remember when as a kid I would fly on a regional which was an Otter at Pilgrim Airlines. I also remember when flying from JFK to MIA meant flying on a wide body. Now you are very correct that mainline flying has decreased and regional flying has increased. But who is to blame for all this? The public for wanting more destinations? Mainline giving more flying to the regionals and wanting relaxed scope? Mainline pilots for allowing relaxed scope clauses? Or the regional guys that are trying to get ahead. Somehow it is always our fault but there is a lot of blame to go around.
