I disagree that they will not hire anyone from outside Alaska. I have seen well qualified alaskan pilots not even get an interview, while people are brought in all the way from Florida! I don't understand it, but that is the way it is. If you are interested, send in a resume, it is a crapshoot and I am glad, otherwise they wouldn't have hired me! I agree with everything else in the above post. The part about pilots not wanting to leave is the biggest problem. For you ambitious guys worried about the upgrade times, don't come to Penair. So I guess that eliminates about 99.999% of the people on this forum
