I can't remember who did it but someone in this thread or another SWA/AT did a brilliant comparison of the AT CA vs SWA FO pay. You should probably check it out, it might give you the hope that you don't seem to have. Yes you might be losing some seniority but people on both sides lost something and potentially gained something. If you're sitting as a relatively senior 737 FO with SWA pay, then it seems to me that your QOL would improve thus giving you the options to earn just as much if not more than you would've as an AT CA.
Not trying to stir the pot even more but I have always wondered (this isn't directed to you specifically),what is so important about keeping a captain seat? If QOL and pay could increase, what's the problem? What are really all the drawbacks of sitting on the right side? One wouldn't make as much as a SWA CA but might make just as much if not more as a SWA 737 FO than as a senior CA at AT. An FO doesn't call the shots. An FO wouldn't have 4 stripes. The ego is vanished (which isn't a bad thing).
The trip rigs are great thus helping make them more efficient, the per diem is higher, and the variety of domestic flying seems great. I fail to see the problem if in the long run, an FO will be CA (for the first time or again)
