I think you're getting at a similar play the the NFL and NBA did by decertifying. That was done to file antirust suits in the case of a lockout. Would not work here as we could not prove that RAH was indeed a monopoly. The major professional sports in this country are for the most part exempt from the antitrust laws as long as they bargain in good faith. This is why this particular method was used.
