I'd rather F9 fold before it be allowed to continue to operate separately.
If F9 wanted to be represented more you could have easily ran for the recently elected officer positions in the union. Each person, including the Midwest pilot, ran unopposed. The IBT is administering your contract as is required. They do support their members. If you are not a member then you cannot complain.
Well, I would agree that the East/West situation is absolute chaos, but I don't have firsthand knowledge of the inner workings to be able to 'condemn' either side. Tragic at best, I believe.
You would rather F9 fold 'before it be allowed to continue to operate separately?' What a ludicrous statement. If F9 operates separately, what do you care? I want F9 to be a completely separate operation - no opportunity for whipsaw, no crossover either way, and why would you want F9 to fold?
We were told (by IBT) that we would be unable to run for any officer positions in the union, since we would technically be in our probationary year. And, since the F9 guys are outnumbered (something many RAH peeps have reiterated, over and over again), who would have voted for an F9 guy for an officer position at IBT? I don't know of any F9 guys who want anything to do with that massively dysfunctional union, let alone actually represent them in an officer position. We were outnumbered, wanted to remain separate before, during and after the election - nothing has changed. That was the case before the SLI, and has been ever since, not BECAUSE of the SLI. Everybody wants a voice, and F9 pilots have none. The desires of the majority outweighs the interests of the minority (F9 pilots) - how happy would you be if you had no voice and people were making stupid comments like they would 'rather see F9 fold before being ALLOWED to operate separately?'
If IBT is trying to 'unite' everybody, they are doing the typically pathetic job. I have yet to receive any correspondence from IBT except for 'here is where to send money, brother' and a jaded letter from that fat bastard who isn't even an IBT member. Poor representation, poor judgement, bizarre lines of logic, trying to point a shotgun at my head...can't understand why I don't have the fuzzies for those knuckleheads. The president of RAH IBT doesn't even have the balls to send a quick letter or communicate with the F9 guys. Don't wish failure for us trying to protect what little is left - you only display your egocentric arrogance. And there's nothing worse than the ugly kid acting cocky about his 'great looks'. Everybody knows the truth but him...
