The past few classes have been 20+ and they are having classes every 2 weeks. They have been hiring directly into most all a/c and bases (except LAX EMJ). CRJ as a newhire is definitely possible. If you weren't awarded ORD as a newhire you could probably get awarded a transfer and be based there within a few months after finishing training. If you start out on a turboprop (SF3 or ATR) then you are seatlocked for 1 year. After that year you would have no problem bidding the ERJ or CRJ in any base (except maybe LAX ERJ).
