Makes it tough to plan anything. Why does FedEx do the huge bids rather than small bids every couple months? It would make it easier to adjust to the markets and demands rather than planning staffing 2 years out.
Agreed. They just want total control of us pilots. Every other airline that I have worked for has had smaller bids, from once a quarter to every month, no matter if it involved 2 or 50 people, upgrades, base transfers, or a/c changes.
We need to change that in our contract!!
