And its only about 10 degrees colder than Minneapolis on average, but no worries, there's no trees or hills up there to block the wind. So with the wind always about 30 mph, the wind chill is often -40, but you will have fabulous views of miles and miles of flat brown dirt. And you only have to drive around 50 miles or so (depending on where you live) to a decent shopping mall or restaurant, of course that's only on the days the blowing snow and ice covered roads aren't so bad you can actually leave the house.

I lived there for 4 years, I can honestly say I think it is the worst place to live in the continental US. I would walk to class and the wind was so strong into my face that my eyes (the only thing uncovered) would water and then freeze onto my face. I would literally (I swear I'm not exaggerating) pluck ice tears off my cheeks.
