Also, on weekends, the NJ PATH runs a modified line, which means it takes longer to get to NJ Penn Station.

The best option is the Newark to New York Express. It is $15 one way, but if you are an employee and buy 10 tickets at a time, it ends p being only $7 each way. You pick up the bus at the Port Authority Bus Station and it drops you off at each terminal. Commute time is only 35 minutes. They say they leave every 15 minutes, but if you actually look at the schedule, it is more like every 30 minutes.
