I once flew a MD88/90 trip with a CA who was obsessed with the movie Top Gun and his years as an F-14 pilot. So much so, when we had a layover in San Diego, he just had to take me to Kansas City BBQ -- the restaurant where they filmed Goose playing "Great balls of fire" on the piano for the girls.
At my previous company, over the ops frequency there we're a bunch of guys, from multiple regional carriers, going back and forth with the ops guy in IAD arguing about gate agents, air carts, and/CSRs, some joker decided to transmit the Top Gun theme (Highway to Danger Zone) over the frequency.
Doubled over laughing for at least 5 minutes. The follow up Top Gun quotes that followed afterwards were even funnier.
