Get the JCBA done - should be the ONLY focus period.

"Pay scales!" to a pilot, "squirrel!" to a dog, same difference. UAL pilot total benefit is 10% more than a CAL pilot. Why do you think they're hung up in negotiations? Because the UAL pilot costs more in retirement, medical, work rules, soft time, first class DH, trip protections, etc. Be careful what you wish for. You can always get pay scales back, work rules are much harder.
