The E135 and E140 are the first on the chopping block. Assume 10 pilots per plane. I think Eagle has 70 of those aircraft so that would mean 700 pilots to be furloughed.
Most of our newly upgraded captains are going back to the right seat and most of the 2011 new hires will be on the street.
Eagle will not win any new flying contracts because we have too many people at the top of the pay scale. Can't compete with RAH and GO JET with your average crew having 12 years experience.
This probably isn't far off. Take a look at Comair during Delta's bankruptcy in 2005. I'm not 100% sure, but wasn't it around 300 pilots?
