First of all try to get an interview.
Mine was in late DEC 07. So is totally outdated, but from what I gather isn't that different. Very simple, FAA ATP questionnaire, HR q and a, stress free.
Rent would definitely be the way to go. Until you find your spot.
I found this site, hope it helps

About working here, i couldn't be happier. Rough in the beginning, and it's about your salary, but great coworkers. It gets better.
Small place with very good potential. Our future seems brighter with baby steps, but in the right direction.
Coming from from abroad, it's hard to tell, since it seems that we have a lot of guys trying for overseas jobs that pay over 100k a year your first year.
I wish you the best, the only down of all it's the limited RUGBY exposure. (high school and college player) and fan. Good job by the Springboks.
