You will hear message board drama queens say that GoJet pilots are shunned by other pilots in the hotel van, have problems getting jumpseats, will have problems getting hired at majors etc. I know second-hand that is not true via my brother and a friend, both of whom jumpseated regularly while working for GoJet and both of whom have moved on to greener pastures. You will also hear folks say; "Give it a few years when Trans States pilots are on interview boards. They'll see GJ in your work history and you won't get hired" This is BS. The same was said about pilots going through Comair's and Continental Express' Pay For Training programs (far more insidious to the industry than today's Go Jet) in the 90's. Yet there are no cases, of which I'm aware, of PFTers not getting hired due to writing the check.

When it all comes out in the wash, there is exactly zero ethical difference between working at GoJet and any other regional. Sure, pay and work rules vary, but in the end, they are all bottom feeders in a sense.
