Ok maybe not. That thing still looks cool and I would never complain flying it. Heck I might even try to get me one.

Old or new instruments display the same information. Take the 737NG for example; it displays round dial instruments on glass. Same info, same format. Lighter weight and easier to replace. The automation and autopilots are better today, but they had autopilots in the past too. Navigation is much better: easy, safe, and more efficient too. Things have changed, but not that much.
