Answer from Senior VP Flight Operations Fred Abbott: The B757 and B767 fleets, which are being replaced by B737-900s and B787-8s respectively, will see a reduction over the next few years. All the aircraft being returned to the lessor or being sold, have replacement aircraft on order. The current fleet forecast keeps the roughly the same number of aircraft on hand.

Rumor: Just heard that a 400 was recently returned from a charter company that was leasing the A/C from us, also another one is coming out of mothballs back to UAL.

Answer from Senior VP Flight Operations Fred Abbott: The B747 fleet is being reworked. The current fleet plan keeps about the same number of aircraft flying for the next five years. We are contemplating bringing on an additional aircraft as a spare. The cost of the interior refit may cause this not to happen.
