DEN is the second most senior UAL domicile, and the most senior medium sized domicile (800+ pilots) by a wide margin. If they bump from this domicile while building it with CAL pilots on the 737 without a JCBA and SLI it will be an absolute disaster. Very, very few of the current DEN based UAL pilots commute to DEN (less than 10%). Virtually all will choose to commute vs. move. We already have huge numbers of commuters from DEN to other domiciles. If you add in another 500+ into the system out of DEN to other domiciles, it will be a scheduling disaster. I, for one, will do no more than my commute plus one backup (commuter policy) and will simply go home when I don't get on my commute. Not my problem when UAL decides to move my job while replacing me with some other UCAL pilot without my ability to use my earned seniority (17 years this spring) to hold my seat. I'll simply watch the operation implode, which it will. Total and complete train wreck. Their choice, not mine.
