Pointless as it may be, I'm only pointing out what the "newbies" fail to see before they get themselves all mixed up in GoJet. FlyerJSH asked me to go into details, so I did. Listen, I don't really give two sh!ts as to whether you work for GoJet or not. I'm not here to give you my blessing, only state my opinions. If you agree with my opinions, good for you. If not, that's fine too. You want to tell me to shut my pie hole, go right ahead. I won't listen, but you already know that.
And you are correct, I almost made the jump to GoJet. As enticing as a quick upgrade was, my buddy pointed out that it wasn't worth the shame I would personally feel wearing the uniform. He was right and you're right, I think I will get him a bottle of single malt one of these days.
Don't get me wrong, Trans States sucks just as hard as GoJet. Except y'all have newer aircraft, better routes (IMO), and y'all are expanding. We are rolling around in old, performance-lacking aircraft, crappy routes (I hate the east coast), and we are shrinking, furloughing, downgrading, and it's nothing but doom and gloom here. That doesn't make me any less aware of the fact that Waterskiers got screwed by management in 2005.
All decisions must contain some degree of emotion. But my most recent decision about my career was cold and calculated.
I couldn't be happier
