Let's get the unsubstantiated and unfounded rumors out there quickly to prevent a maximum influx of senior guys into the 757/767.
1. I heard from a guy mopping the bathroom floor in the AOC that to simplify pay issues, all 757/767 pay will stay at a narrowbody rate. It's just easier that way.
2. Since the 757/767 community now has two same but different airframes, the school house is going to try to outdo the MD-11/MD-10 schoolhouse for length of training and number of events. It will be a "lather, rinse, repeat" philosophy where first you get checked out in the 75 and then repeat the whole program in the 76. Count on 6 months. Heard that one from one of the jumpseat security guards.

Edited to add that now that there is a slowdown in increasing 777 numbers, that aircraft will remain the elite of the elite for even longer. How cool is that!? Obviously, the 777 is where a senior guy would want to be for the forseeable future.
