They called me today. I always answer. I called in sick on Monday for a 4 day. When asked if I could help out I asked how I sounded (I'm very congested).....then he asked me if I was still too sick.....I kinda giggled. I love talking to them.
I don't know the rules of your contract, but, can't you just say "no, I'm busy" if they"re calling to ask you to work on a day off? If someone has a current CAL CBA and could email it, please shoot me a PM and I'll give an email address.
