It won't matter. The 767-300 and the 767-400 are the same type rating and they're different cockpits. The 300 is a combo of glass and round dials and the 400 is all glass. The same goes for the older and newer 737's and 747's.
Agreed. These guys are getting wrapped around the axle on this type-rating issue. Since the 767-400 has a glass flight deck and is flown by pilots with a standard B757; B767 type, why would our guys be different. Continental and Delta guys fly both glass and part-glass 767s and 757s with no problems.

Not to mention, my B757: B767 type, earned in a sim with the Fedex ISS glass displays, allows me to operate older B757s with conventional displays.
