I don't care if my 48 hour layover is in Fiji, I want no part of a 48 hour layover period. It is simply a difference of opinion on what the ideal mix is. I don't begrudge you enjoying your little slice of heaven, why would you begrudge me mine? I love 18 days at home more than 18 nights in exotic layover hotels, but to each his own.

Have you ever spent 48 hours in Fiji?

If not, how do you know you like being home better? Maybe you should ask your wife if she would like to spend 48 hours in Fiji...

Oh, btw, nobody spends the entire 48 hours in their hotel room!

I love it when guys who have never flown long haul, tell us how they hate flying long haul! All of us "long haul" guys spent many years flying short haul domestic, 6 leg day trips and are now are senior enough to be in the top 10 flying short haul...yet we bid long haul...why do you suppose that is?
