That said, if we are woefully unproductive vs. DAL, in many cases you could blame the strange pairings DAL assigned to us, just as much as the odd philosophies our Bid Production guys clung to. We'd run into Pinnacle guys telling us about 24-hour 4-days that were commutable on both sides, while senior FOs at Comair couldn't make min guarantee working four 4-day trips because the trips weren't worth enough.
I think everyone wants to see Delta flying performed solely by Delta pilots, but only you guys have the power to fight that fight. Good luck!
I'd have to host the chart, which would reveal my identity, but here's an older study which was done long before mainline pay got cut and before your longevity went nearly as long as it is now. The data still proves the point: (jumpt to page 45, or so)

Conclusion ... pilot pay differentials are not sufficient to buy airplanes or justify regional airlines' existence.
... and I completely agree about the total and absolute mess Delta made of Comair. Somehow everyone seemed to forget that Comair is a Delta asset and part of our bottom line. As some of our pilots would cheer any harm that came to Comair, a few of us realized it would result in harm to our Company & less money in our profit sharing checks.
