If every regional pilot had my mentality of get as much money as you can, it would force your management to quote higher CPA's prices.
or better yet, if we had a universal pay scale/ work rules it would set an even starting bar in terms of labor costs, then the most EFFICIENT company would survive and actually force management to come up with other ways to save money rather than pay cuts.

If the regionals EVER bid contracts the way you wanted?? They'd just give the Jet flying Back to the Major Pilots and put the regionals back in their places. Since ths Entire section of the Industry is ripoff of One pilot Gtoup for Another. And, that ALPA has already seen it's short-sightedness in allowing Regional Jet code shares in the first place.. But! since that Genie is already OUT of the bottle They're NOT going to do anything to propagate the fire from spreading durther, All the regionalas have to be ready to go it on their OWN and so maybe NO you Won't be getting a fat contract with UAL because Jeff has to watch His OWN back with HIS pilots and the entire feeder conundrum might now be running it's final course where feeders will be flying under their OWN colors again rather than the bait and switch that's happening now. Then the Best managed. and Best operators would flow to the Top and some of these "schlck" operators would fall be the wayside. Especially the "Fast Buck" Regional Managers.. Of course there would be FAR fewer Pilots as well, but Maybe?? There Should be??
