Yeah yeah.. EVERYBODY says that.. until faced with actually pulling the handles. When you realize that you are at the top of the food chain (like Carl and his posse) and you can work a few days/month and still pull down 6 figures.. and fund that retirement... and not have to worry about paying for that medical.. (what?? you didn't think about THAT?) It's kind of funny actually, I have no clue as to where on the list I will be at 60...62...65... I think pre merger I would have been 300 or so at age 60.. but I have no clue now nor do I really care.
When I was your age I said that I was going at 55. I still think I would be able to if I wanted save the medical which would really put a strain on things... so I'll hang around for a few more years. When I am 62.. I'll reevaluate things based on PBGC and SSN monies.. and who knows where the medical insurance stuff will be.
Point is, you have little sympathy on this board from what I am beginning to see, and I'll tell you that you are a total idiot if you punt DAL and go to SWA.. but to each his own.
