Regardless of how much money you pay or how much "training" you receive at a college flight school, you will still end up with the same little green licenses in the end. The only thing that really matters is YOU and your abilities.

My advice: Get you licenses, try to stay out of debt and NEVER NEVER NEVER stop learning. Never stop reading, never stop thinking, never stop testing yourself, and never let the words "Good Enough" entire your aviation career. You are the only one who will be at the interview table batting on your behalf, so regardless of your degree concentration, regardless of the reputations of all of the CFIs who taught you, and regardless of whatever senses of entitlement you may have because you spent more money to learn to fly that I did, YOU and YOUR ABILITIES are the only things that separate you and I.

I did go to a collegiate flight school and I instructed at that flight school for 3 years and I can safely say that the majority of my aviation knowledge was imparted on me through my experience as a CFI and my inability to just go to work and go home WITHOUT learning something in the process.
