That's the other thing. We have an older home, & by the time I was able to call the repairman it had dropped to 58 degrees in our home!
No time to waste with a newborn in the house. Fortunately it was less then 2 hours from the call to our heat working again.
Heh - we had almost the same thing happen, early Dec 2009, our daughter was 2 weeks old when a winter storm hit and the power went out. Talk about some wide-eyed parents! We called a friend who lived nearby who had electricity - stayed the night there. Think the house got down to 55.
