Does a business flight department look at an applicant with a business or finance degree closer than, say, a criminal justice degree? Just curious, all thoughts welcome. Thank you, and happy landings!

What he said.....nobody cares what its in. Just have one.

Do it in something that interests you..aviation or otherwise. Do you have an outside of aviation interest to possibly fall back on if you get tired of flying? Teaching or Nursing degrees strike me as solid choices.

And no, a corporate/business flight department does not care that your degree is business or finance related. You wont be making the billion dollar deals, you are flying the plane. Despite what some pilots like to think, one does not need an advanced finance degree to negotiate fuel deals or a FlightSafety training contract...

Good Luck!
